Where has loyalty gone?

Back in the olds days of doing business, companies were known for keeping, training, and promoting individuals The companies expected loyalty and the individuals in turn expected company employment for life.

Fast forward to today and the scene has dramatically changed. Employers are rapidly changing employees and the assurance of stable employment is gone. The rapid turnover leads to a lot of economic insecurity in a time of relative prosperity and begs the question, “where has all the loyalty gone?”

Loyalty to the intuition is gone. The institution’s loyalty to the individual is gone. Loyalty to the mission, the cause, the greater good is alive and well.

Instead of focusing on loyalty to the institution or decrying the lack thereof, try shifting the focus towards a cause, greater good, or mission worth upholding and dedicate yourself to it. I believe it is a far more fulfilling path and one N~Leaders follow.
